Membership
Full Membership
Any person who holds a BSW or MSW and/or holds a License in Social Work who is employed within the public, charter, or private school. The individual must be providing services that align with the West Virginia School Social Workers Association mission statement. This membership will include full voting rights.
Affiliate Membership
Any persons eligible for Full Membership may become an Affiliate Member if retired as a school social worker. Membership dues will be one- half of the Full Membership dues. Membership will include voting rights.
Associate Membership
A professional persons who is working or has worked in an agency that provides services to children, who provides higher education at a college or university within the social work department, but who has not worked as a school social worker or supervisor of school social workers. Membership dues will be equal to that of Affiliate Membership dues. Associate Members do not have voting rights.
Student Membership
Any persons enrolled in an approved Master of Social Work program and who has an interest in school social work. Membership will be discounted upon graduation of the program. Membership will not include voting rights.
